THE POSITION
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager/Sales to drive the growth of our military training solutions and services. In this pivotal role, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships, and develop strategies to win new contracts. You will work closely with the Vice President of North America and sales teams to achieve our business objectives.

THE JOB
Our Business Development Manager/Sales will be responsible for:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the military and training sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and partners.
- Conduct product demonstrations to potential clients, showcasing the value of our military training solutions.
- Develop and implement capture strategies to win new contracts, including competitive analysis and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product development teams to ensure business development success.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.
- Prepare and respond to RFPs, pitches, and presentations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and market developments.
- Support the growth and management of strategic partnerships.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in direct short cycle contract sales, with a proven track record of success in generating revenue and closing deals in a 1-2 call close sales environment.
- 3+ years of proven experience in DoD training, either in Business Development, Program Management, or other discipline with relevant skills, or actual military experience.
- Experience with CRM systems.
- Experience conducting product demonstrations and engaging with clients
- Familiarity with Shipley captures disciplines and proposal management.
- Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, research, data relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Agility in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the flexibility to adjust priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to take on new challenges and the never-give-up attitude.
- Readiness to travel and collaborate with a global team of professionals.
- U.S. Citizenship with the capability to obtain a DoD security clearance and engage in international travel for meetings with internal/external stakeholders.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Shipley style capture/bid and proposal experience
- Shipley certification.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe, Monday, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Strong understanding of software industry, with a deep expertise in software within military training and simulation environments.
